§ 66-52. Displaying merchandise; permit.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to place or keep any goods, wares, merchandise or other chattel upon, under or over the sidewalks, parkway, street or other public property in this city, either for use, display or for sale, and whether attached to the land or not. Provided, that upon prior application to the city manager and a permit granted by him, such use of the sidewalk, parkway, street or other public property may be permitted for special functions, and such permit shall require the permittee to hold the city harmless from any and all liability arising from his use of the same.
